Founder and Director of DUCAT, Kristel is a Dutch corporate lawyer and entrepreneur, specialized in Corporate, International Business and Intellectual Property Law. She earned her master’s degree in Corporate Law at the University of Leiden, the Netherlands and studied at the University of California, San Francisco, U.S.A. She has more than 15 years of experience in the international trust business and an extensive network of professionals. She previously worked for reputable trust companies in Curaçao.

On January 26th, 2023, Michael de Man, our friend and “Socio” of DUCAT passed away. Michael was Co-Owner and Director of DUCAT. With his experience, knowledge, creativity, discipline and jokes he made DUCAT grow.
Michael has been a beloved member and leader of the DUCAT-team since 2015 and will be greatly missed. We will never forget Michael.

We provide day to day compliance services such as regulatory reporting, establishing and implementing compliance policies and procedures, performing compliance audits, pinpoint potential risks and violations, as well as interacting and replying to inquiries from national and international authorities.
We follow closely and have our staff trained in all relevant information and changes in, amongst others, the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) to ensure keeping your and our records fully up to date and in line with these regulations.
Financial Statements and other financial reports need to be prepared accurately and efficiently. We ensure that the Financial Statements are in accordance with the latest accounting principles, for example U.S. GAAP, IFRS and jurisdictional requirements. If required, we also prepare quarterly, semi-annual and / or monthly unaudited interim reports. Arranging for the audit of any of the reports / Financial Statements in close cooperation and coordination with an audit firm is also possible.
